Oztec: State-of-the-Art Power for the Concrete Professional.
As a premier manufacturer of high-performance Construction Equipment and Finishing Tools, Oztec is the name trusted for industry-leading Concrete Vibrators and high-efficiency Rebar Shakers. From specialised Ceiling Grinding Systems to their legendary Portable Power Units, Oztec equipment is engineered to provide the ‘mechanical edge’ required for structural integrity and world-class results.
When the job demands maximum consolidation and a superior finish, Oztec delivers.
Oztec Flexible Shafts transmit rotary power from the power source (gas or electric motor) to the vibrating head. They are engineered to be rigid enough to be driven deep into stiff, low-slump concrete without kinking, yet limber enough for comfortable, non-slip handling by the operator.
Standard lengths (in feet): 2, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 21.
Inner Core: Made from extra-high-strength, carbon steel wires to handle high torque and rotational speeds under extreme vibration.
Outer Casing: Constructed from tough, abrasion-resistant neoprene rubber. It is reinforced internally with multiple layers of high-tensile wire braiding and a hardened flat steel liner to protect the rotating core.
Patented Quick Disconnect (QD) System: Equipped with a toolless, bearing-less QD lever mechanism. It allows operators to attach or detach the shaft from the motor housing in seconds with the simple twist of a lever. The coupling is designed not to rust or seize up when exposed to concrete slurry.
Universal Interchangeability: All standard Oztec flexible shafts fit seamlessly onto all Oztec power units (from the 1.25 HP electric up to the 2.5 HP gas backpack) and are compatible with standard vibrator heads.
Reversible Design: The shafts are bidirectional and fully reversible. When the inner core begins to wear on one end, swapping the shaft direction end-for-end effectively doubles its service life.
The Oztec 217A1 is a Quick Disconnect (OZQD) Casing Coupling Assembly designed for concrete vibrators. It is the specialised piece attached to the motor end of the flexible shaft that locks into the power unit's quick-release lever mechanism.
Tool-Free Operation: Allows the operator to connect or detach the flexible shaft from the motor housing in seconds with a simple twist of a lever—completely eliminating the need for wrenches.
Bearing-Less Design: Constructed without internal bearings to keep the assembly lightweight, minimise mechanical wear, and simplify maintenance.
Job Site Resilient: Specifically engineered to resist rust and prevent seizing, even when exposed to harsh conditions, water, and wet concrete slurry.
Replaceable Wear Component: Because this coupling handles high vibrations and repeated connections, it is treated as a service part meant to be replaced if it becomes stripped, cracked, or heavily worn over time.
The 217A1 is standard across almost the entire Oztec catalog, fitting the following power units:
Electric Motors: 1.2OZ, 1.8OZ, 2.4OZ, and 3.2OZ
Gas Backpack Units: BP-35, BP-45, and BP-50a
Gas Ground Units: GV-5 and GV-5W
The Oztec 6750G1 is the factory-replacement Complete Driven Block Assembly for Oztec’s line of gas-powered backpack concrete vibrators.
Role in the System: This block is the mechanical assembly that bridges the power from the engine's drive belt to the flexible shaft. It contains the housing, internal bearings, spacer, and the driven pulley.
Quick Disconnect Integration: The outer face of the block assembly serves as the connection port that receives the flexible shaft, allowing Oztec's patented tool-free Quick Disconnect (QD) lever system to lock into place.
The Oztec 37D3 is a high-performance, 6-groove Poly-V replacement drive belt engineered for Oztec's line of gas-powered backpack concrete vibrators.
Design: Features a 6-groove Poly-V profile that ensures maximum surface contact, optimal grip, and highly efficient power transmission from the engine's clutch assembly to the flexible shaft drive gear.
Construction: Molded from high-strength, heat- and abrasion-resistant rubber compounds designed to withstand continuous high-speed rotation and the severe vibrations inherent to concrete consolidation.
The 37D3 is the standard factory replacement drive belt for the following Oztec gas backpack units:
BP-50a (Honda 2.5 HP 4-stroke engine)
BP-45
BP-35
The Oztec 478C3 is a replacement Shoulder Strap Assembly designed for Oztec’s line of gas-powered backpack concrete vibrators.
Component Type: It is a complete, 3-inch wide padded shoulder strap assembly
Purpose: As a critical ergonomic wear item, it replaces worn, torn, or concrete-crusted straps to restore proper weight distribution, reducing operator fatigue during long pours
Model Compatibility: The 478C3 assembly is the universal factory replacement strap for Oztec's primary gas backpack models, including:
BP-50a
BP-45
BP-35
The Oztec BP-50a is a heavy-duty, commercial-grade petrol backpack drive unit engineered to deliver maximum mobility and high-frequency vibration performance on concrete pours. Designed to eliminate power cord hazards and heavy motor dragging, the BP-50a combines reliable Honda 4-stroke power with an ergonomic backpack frame for effortless operation across slabs, footings, elevated decks, and stairwells.
